Each year, the American School of Rio de Janeiro (EARJ) explores a different theme in their 'MuseOn", a hands-on discovery and learning center on the lower school campus.
This year the theme is "We Are the World", but what does that phrase mean to a 5-year-old? Or to a 9-year-old?
The MuseOn mural project was an invitation to students by guest designer Ann Waugh to explore the ideas of global citizenship and multiculturalism at their own level through art.
The project involved over 200 students from kindergarten to fifth grade and the result is a unique and delightful window into the magic, diversity, and exuberance of the world as seen through the children's eyes.
